What is the difference between the EDXtreme, EDjunior, and AP Mechanical dynamometers?2022-10-26T22:08:03-05:00

The AP is a simple mechanical dynamometer with a dial face. The EDjunior is a basic digital dynamometer. The EDXtreme is a digital dynamometer with extra features such as data logging, custom units and optional remote viewing. There are some specification differences as well.

Can I record and export readings?2022-10-26T22:08:21-05:00

EDXtreme units have a serial output for interfacing with PC’s to capture real-time data.

Do any of the dynamometers offer data logging?2022-10-26T22:08:28-05:00

Yes, only the EDxtreme offers data logging.

Does the EDxtreme offer remote communication?2022-10-26T22:08:36-05:00

Yes, the “Non Radio” Version of the EDxtreme offers “wired” remote communication. The “Radio Ready” version of the EDxtreme offers both “wired” & “wireless” remote communication.

How do I know if I have the “Non Radio” or “Radio Ready” version EDxtreme?2022-10-26T22:08:45-05:00

Please feel free to contact us with the serial number of the EDxtreme and we will confirm which version you have.

Can a “Non Radio” version EDxtreme be converted to a “Radio Ready” version?2022-10-26T22:08:50-05:00

Yes. Please contact our service department for a formal quote.

Can the older version EDxtreme work with the current version Communicator?2022-10-26T22:08:57-05:00

No. both the EDxtreme and Communicator must have the same version software.

Can the older version Communicator work with the current version EDxtreme?2022-10-26T22:09:07-05:00

No. both the EDxtreme and Communicator must have the same version software.

How do I know if I have the current version EDxtreme and Communicator?2022-10-26T22:09:17-05:00

The most current version EDxtreme and Communicator will have a “red” power button.

The older version EDxtreme and Communicator will have a “yellow” power button.

Another indicator is that any EDxtreme and Communicator purchased after April 2013 has the current software.
